Lesson objectives
- Recognise and control Adverbial clauses of concession (although, even though, much as, for all that).
- Notice common errors Spanish-speaking learners make at advanced level.
- Apply the structure in exam-style sentences related to wildlife conservation & rewilding.
Además, con much as, el orden suele ser: Much as + sujeto + verbo + cláusula principal (ej.
Form — estructura
| Conector | Estructura | Uso / Matiz |
|---|---|---|
| Although / Even though | Conector + Sujeto + Verbo | Introducir un contraste directo (aunque). |
| Much as | Much as + Sujeto + Verbo | "Por mucho que..." (énfasis en la intensidad). |
| For all that | For all that + Sujeto + Verbo | "A pesar de todo eso / Pese a todo". |
| Despite / In spite of | Preposición + Sustantivo / -ing | Requiere sustantivo o gerundio (no sujeto+verbo). |
